Solar eclipse-
A solar eclipse occurs when a portion of earth is engulfed in shadow cast by moon which fully or partially blocks light. This occurs when sun,moon and earth are aligned.In a total eclipse , disk of sun is fullu blocked by the moon.In partial eclipse only some part of sun is obstructed.
A solar eclipse occur only when moon is closer to elliptical plane.
Precautions to taken during a solar eclipse -
You can use your smartphone or DSLR camera to capture solar eclipse but do not look directly with a nascent eye.You can use special solar eclipse protection goggles to look at the eclipse. Your everyday glasses and shades are also not usable to see solar eclipse.
Ring of Fire-
During a annular eclipse when moon is far away from us it is not able to block sun completely thus forming a bright circular ring around it.This is being given a poetic name ‘The Ring of Fire’.
The solar eclipse eclipse of 21st June-
This year people from major parts of Asia and Africa will be able to see Solar Eclipse at 4:05 am (Gmt Time).
The maximum eclipse will take place at 6:40 am ( GMT Time ) . It will be completely visible at 9:34 am ( GMT Time ).
